ChassisThe Z1 has a monocoque frame made from hot-dip galvanized steel onto which the plastic external bodyparts are attached. The steel skeleton has a zinc coating which is only a fraction of millimetre thick but enhances it's rigidity by approximately 25%. Also, the high side panels contribute to the unusual rigidity of the Z1. The Z1 has a plastic floor that is bonded to the frame. |
