Immediately after I first heard heard of the BMW Z1, my wife and I placed an order for the car on 17-5-1988. At that point, the expected delivery date was to be some time during 1990. In September 1989, I convinced a BMW dealer to let us take the car for a test drive. After that test drive we were sure that we wanted the car. After a few delays due to personal reasons we accepted delivery of our Z1 on the 5th of June 1991, just before it's production was ceased. At that point we decided never to sell the car. |
